Self-initiated project themed around commuting and urban public transport. Born from the insight that waterways are often underexploited in cities and inspired by bike-sharing schemes, Canal Cruisers are a novel means of eco-friendly personal transport within urban environments. Essentially rentable pedalos, Canal Cruisers could be implemented in areas with extensive canal networks such as London or Amsterdam. Users would sign up to the program and would be able to rent a Cruiser hassle-free by simply swiping a membership card on the modular, floating docks that secure them in place when not in use.
